Hyundai Palisade 2026 Debuts at International Auto Show with New Hybrid Version
Hyundai has just unveiled the facelifted Hyundai Palisade 2026 at the New York International Auto Show, marking the first time the model is equipped with a hybrid powertrain.
Overview of the Hyundai Palisade 2026

The 2026 Palisade comes with larger overall dimensions, measuring 5,060 x 1,980 x 1,805 mm (length x width x height).
The front bumper has been shortened by 40.64 mm, while the overall length has increased by 63.5 mm. The wheelbase now measures 2,970 mm, an increase of 68.58 mm for improved interior space and stability.
Exterior Design
The Hyundai Palisade 2026 introduces a completely refreshed appearance that’s impossible to mistake for the previous generation. Hyundai has reinvented the SUV with a boxier, muscular European-inspired design.
At the front, the SUV features five-tier vertical LED headlights that give it a bold yet modern look. A new grille and more upright A-pillars contribute to a drag coefficient of just 0.31 Cd — impressive for its segment.
The SUV rides on 21-inch alloy wheels, and redesigned front and rear bumpers improve off-road approach and departure angles: 20.5° approach, 22.4° departure, and 18.3° breakover.
The aggressive AT tires (255/60R18) paired with unique wheels enhance the Palisade’s rugged and practical character. A small but eye-catching detail is the red-painted tow hook at the rear, adding a sporty touch.
Interior Design
The new Palisade offers a more spacious and premium cabin, highlighted by a larger panoramic glass roof for an airy, open feel.
The dashboard features dual 12.3-inch curved displays seamlessly integrated into one panel, delivering a cohesive and modern appearance.
The 8-seat configuration is standard, with captain’s chairs available in the second row, offering one-touch recline and slide for easier third-row access.
Seats are upholstered in premium Nappa leather, complemented by wood trim and metal accents for a refined finish. The second-row seats offer heating and ventilation options, while materials range from cloth, synthetic leather, to Nappa leather.
The third row now supports electric folding, sliding, and reclining, and also offers optional heating.
Technology and Features
Convenience and Entertainment
The Hyundai Palisade 2026 comes packed with cutting-edge technology and comfort features, including:
Dual 12.3-inch curved displays
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system
Wireless charging pad
Tri-zone automatic climate control

Safety Systems
Safety has been significantly enhanced with more standard features than ever before.
For the first time, Hyundai has integrated a dual dashcam system that records continuously while driving and monitors surroundings when parked — a highly practical feature for urban environments.
The Palisade Hybrid introduces a “Stay Mode”, allowing occupants to use the air conditioning and infotainment systems while the engine is off — ideal for camping or long waits. This mode can operate for up to two hours via the central touchscreen.
Performance and Powertrain
Hyundai has revealed its next-generation hybrid system, debuting with the new Palisade.
The system incorporates two electric motors:
One assists with starting, generating power, and supporting the drivetrain.
The other focuses on driving power and regenerative braking.
The Palisade Hybrid pairs a 2.5L turbocharged I4 gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 6-speed automatic transmission, delivering a combined output of 329 hp and 460 Nm of torque. Estimated total driving range: 996 km.
For traditional powertrains, the 3.5L V6 gasoline engine with an 8-speed automatic transmission produces 287 hp and 352 Nm of torque.
The V6 version is available with FWD or AWD, while the Hybrid variant comes standard with AWD. Towing capacity is rated at 2,267 kg (V6) and 1,814 kg (Hybrid).
Driving and Handling
The Palisade 2026 includes Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel-drive system with three terrain modes — Mud, Snow, and Sand — providing adaptability across diverse driving conditions.
Hyundai also introduced the Palisade XRT Pro, built upon the previous XRT trim. This version features both hardware and software enhancements for better off-road capability. The suspension lift increases ground clearance by 25.4 mm, and a rear electronic limited-slip differential comes standard.
Pricing
As of now, the Hyundai Palisade 2026 is available in four trims, with the Hybrid variant being the most expensive at approximately ₫1.69 billion VND (≈ $66,500 USD).
The Palisade XRT Pro 2026 pricing hasn’t been officially announced but is expected to exceed $44,525 USD (≈ ₫1.15 billion VND), the starting price of the standard XRT model.

Although the Hyundai Palisade 2026 already boasts a luxurious interior and comprehensive tech suite, owners can further personalize their SUV with aftermarket accessories, such as:
Smart car display system
GOTECH Android Box
